I had the great pleasure of going on a date with my daughters a few weeks ago. It was the annual Holliston Father Daughter Dance held at the Town Hall. The girls were so excited about going. I made the mistake of thinking it was because of all the time we would get to spend together, doing the electric slide and all the other new dances. Once this picture was taken they didn't want to have anything to do with me. They preferred hanging out with all their other friends who were too embarassed to be seen dancing with their dads. It was quite a scene, girls in the middle of the floor dancing with each other, dads lining the sides talking about the Red Sox. I guess it's just all about being there. We had fun.

Still Thinking About Warm Weather
I know, we've been back from Antigua for a few weeks now and it's time to move on with our daily routine. All our tans are fading and fewer people are asking "Did you just get back from vacation?"
Fortunatley for me, Kathy has perfected the punch mix for our favorite island drink...Rum Punch. The bad news is we are down to our last few drops of real "Island" rum and now find ourselves scrambling to find a suitable substitute available locally. We're making our way through many different brands and although it's a difficult task, we embrace the challenge and push on in hopes of finding that perfect taste.
When we are in Antigua, our favorite time of day is sunset. We make it a point to be on the beach to watch the sun slowly slide into the the Caribbean sea. Worthy of note, most times we have the beach to ourselves. What are all these people thinking?

Watching the sunset never gets old.

Back to Reality
After a one day delay returning home (extra day in Antigua..yeh) we finally arrived back in New England where we were brought back to the reality of winter and cold air...ugh! The kids look very strange with their braided hair and tans while bundled up in heavy winter garb.
Our visit to Antigua was a great success. We had lots of fun re-uniting with past friends from the island.

We also made some new friends who we hope to visit back home in the states. We especially enjoyed spending time with Gary and Lynn from Rochester, New York who turned us on to the trick of bringing your own cooler to the beach....stocked with plenty of Rum and various mixing liquids. They were a really bad influence on us and we hope to see them down there again next year.

More about the trip later...
