Let the Games Begin

It was a gorgeous day in Holliston this past Sunday. The perfect setting for one of those small town parades to kick off the 2006 Little League season. All the kids looked great in their new , clean uniforms. By next week they will have endured the abuse of a game or two and appear much different.
This year Sam will be playing for the Dodgers. Like most kids in this region he would have preferred to play for the Red Sox. Oh well, maybe next year. I truly think it doesn't matter to Sam who he plays for. He just likes hitting the ball and playing with his friends.

For the first time we let Sam walk in the parade unaccompanied by Mom or Dad. He did a great job keeping up with his team and never wandered off. We had a chance to see him walk by on two occasions and each time he looked over and gave us that great, crooked smile of his. That's how we knew he was enjoying himself.

One of the best parts of watching the parade is seeing Abby and Hannah cheering on their brother. At home, he drives them crazy. But, when he puts on his uniform and gets into a parade, he becomes a rock star to his sisters. I love standing behind them and seeing how much they scream and yell as he walks past. They are so great about supporting their big brother. Sam is very lucky to have such loving sisters.

I love it when our kids aren't trying to dismantle each other.
Love, KSDF
The kids are getting so big!!! I miss them! You would think that we live a planes ride away considering the amount we see each other! (of course if you guys went to, oh say, Arruba, then I would be willing to follow for a visit!)
love ya! Susan
